A UK female has exposed about the crippling impact of endometriosis–which was primarily dismissed as period pain–on her personal and professional life.
Sinead Smythe experienced abdomen cramps since time 11 and was eventually identified as having endometriosis in 2016, the Daily Email reports.
Due to her condition, Sinead says she’s possessed two businesses, lost two careers and experienced excruciating pain over a frequent basis for a long time.
“The pain can be so crippling that we cannot move from the same position, I could be rolled up in a ball all night at a time,” Sinead discussed.
“I lost two careers in 2015 and 2016 as a receptionist anticipated to endometriosis when i became unreliable because of the daily pain.
“My business employers didn’t understand, they viewed me as though I was laying because I didn’t literally look unwell, anyone would you not understand message or calls it “a terrible period.”
Endometriosis is a common, incurable disease occurring when tissue increases from the uterus, which can cause powerful pelvic pain, menstrual abnormalities and even infertility.
